We all know what it’s like to try and be comfortable in a chair we hate. Whether the back is too straight or the seat too soft, it can be nearly impossible to focus let alone finish important projects in a chair that is uncomfortable. The simple act of getting ergonomic chairs will give your employees a chance to adjust the chair to their personal preferences. When you do this, you recognize that your employees are more than just numbers cranking out billables—they are people with likes and dislikes, and you’re giving them maximum comfort that will ultimately get you maximum efficiency.
Of course, comfortable chairs do more than just improve office morale. They actually lead to greater health. Like we said in Chapter 1, the human body wasn’t made to sit for hours and hours! An ergonomic chair allows employees to flex their bodies, lean back, lean forward, and change to new positions that aren’t uncomfortable. What’s not to love?
