Blank walls communicate a lackluster work environment. If those walls are white, it communicates hospital. You don’t want either of those thoughts to run through your employee’s or client’s minds as they walk through your doors. At the same time, your office should have a unified theme. If you’re a law firm you want to communicate a different feeling than an art studio would; think about the attitude you want your office space to have and make design decisions accordingly.

Office décor is a somewhat under-studied discipline. We all work in offices that have been designed, but we don’t really think about the ways in which that décor sets our moods—indeed, the ways in which it determines office culture. Décor is super important—so don’t skimp!
